2027 invoicing checklist: prepare your POS in Spain
Practical steps for restaurants and shops: deadline, declaration, invoicing tests, incidents, record preservation and staff training.

Before changing POS, use this checklist to gather documents, test your workflow and agree responsibilities with your provider and adviser. Your deadline depends on tax status.
1. Confirm scope and deadline
Record your taxpayer type, whether you use SII and the applicable territorial regime. Confirm the obligations for your transactions with your adviser.

2. Gather documentation
- Declaration of responsibility for the installed version and producer details.
- Supported mode, updates and preservation procedure.
- Quote separating hardware, licence, setup and support.
3. Test a real trading day
Use the test or demonstration environment agreed with your provider; do not invent production sales to test the system.
- Simplified invoice, full invoice and tax QR.
- Traceable refund or correction, without improperly editing generated records.
- Connection outage, recovery and handling of rejections or errors.
- Cash closing, exports for your adviser and access to records.
4. Train staff and record the rollout
Leave brief instructions for issuing invoices, correcting errors and reporting incidents. Record the version, installation date and support contact. Agree who checks updates and regulatory changes.
