SumUp is a card reader; DianDian POS is a complete POS
SumUp solves card payments, but it does not manage inventory, orders, the kitchen or Verifactu. DianDian POS covers the whole business flow.
SumUp is an excellent card reader for occasional card payments, but it is not a POS system: it does not track inventory, does not issue Verifactu 2027–compliant invoices, and does not manage restaurant orders or the kitchen. DianDian POS integrates payment (card recording and, with smart terminals, pushing the amount to the bank's reader) with a complete, compliant POS, ideal for hospitality and retail in Spain.

When to choose which?
If you only need occasional card payments, SumUp is enough. If you run a restaurant, bar or shop with inventory, orders and a Verifactu obligation, DianDian POS is the complete solution; you can also keep using your bank's card reader with integrated recording.
Can I keep using my bank's card reader?+
Yes. DianDian POS records card payments and, with certain smart terminals, can push the amount directly to the reader to avoid typing errors.
Does SumUp cover Verifactu?+
No. SumUp is a card reader and does not issue Verifactu 2027–compliant invoices; you need a POS system like DianDian POS to comply.
